Thursday Turn Out - 02/26/2026
I said I’d work on Zel’s sprite sheet this week and that’s precisely what I did. I’m not finished, but check this out:

Yeah, that’s a walk cycle. I actually have one for all four cardinal directions (up, down, and a mirrored left/right). They’re rough but perfect for a prototype. All that’s left are the animations for:
- Casting the reelshot;
- Kicking enemies to death; and
- Slashing enemies to death.
I’m sorely tempted to give Zel a survival knife. Everyone had a survival knife growing up, even if we lost half of what was in the handle in two days.
So, there’s not a lot to show for it other than the animated GIF a few lines back, but I’m maintaining momentum and am on track to code the flying enemy archetype this week. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you on Sunday!
